Anyone already used Banshee for that and has some insights? I am looking to setup a simple site for a podcat. While Wordpress has "all the features" and would be setup easily I would try to avoid it.

I am also willing to learn PHP for not using WP and Banshee instead.

I'm not aware of anybody using it for that.

Although not quite the same as a podcast, many church websites have audio sermons on them. I am a church website admin and have been tinkering with Banshee and eventually want to replace the website cms with Banshee. Version 6 and 6.1 come with Composer which may have a podcast app that will work with Banshee. Haven't tried yet. Computers are a hobby for me in my spare time so learning this has been a slow go.

I found that generating a compatible feed is the only actual thing that is needed. There are some extensions that are podcast centric that are a must but that about it. Once there is a feed Subscribe buttons like: pretty much do all the work for you.
